Book Cover: 17th and Dutton
17th and Dutton is a book published by Patristica Press about the history of an iconic Waco religious institution. The memoir, written by a former staff member, tells the story of a religious community struggling to create a new identity for themselves. I wanted the cover to capture the playfulness and free-spirit of the book, while hinting at the book's subtle navigation of a restrictive religious ethic.
Book of the Year Seal
This was made for Patristica Press' annual Book of the Year contest, which is awarded its the best-selling book each year. I wanted the seal to not only instantly impress on the potential customers a sense of high-quality and popular recognition, but also to forward the press' brand as an approachable, fun organization.
Book Cover: Magic and Technology
I made this cover for one of Patristica Press' first books, Magic and Technology. The book makes the controversial claim that technology is a form of modern magic and is overall destructive to society. I wanted the cover to have the same shocking impact that the message of the book does.
Just a little corgi and his jetpack friend to wish you a great rest of your day.
